DAY 1 - Friday Flight to Genoa

The excitement begins with an overnight flight to Genoa. Ask about Perillo's low airfares to Italy. You are also free to book your own flights.

DAY 2 - Saturday Genoa, Italy

Benvenuti in Italia! Whether you purchased your ticket through Perillo, or on your own, we're happy to pick you up at Genoa's Cristoforo Colombo Airport at scheduled times for your transfer to our magnificent ship.

A blast of the Splendida's horn signals the start of our adventure! By now, you've had a personal orientation of the Yacht Club and learned the features of your suite. Some of us don't have butlers at home, so go ahead – have him unpack your bags, shine your shoes and bring you an extra-dry martini. A person could get used to this!

DAY 3 - Sunday Barcelona

This morning you wake up to the joys of Barcelona, the grand capital of Catalonia. You must see the work of her most famous architect – Gaudi. Also of great interest is Montserrat with its famous Benedictine Monastery. Or, ask your concierge about catching a Flamenco Show. Ole!

DAY 4 - Monday At Sea

No appointments, no obligations, the day is yours to relax at the spa, linger at lunch, watch a movie in your cabin, or do all three!

DAY 5 - Tuesday La Valletta, Malta

Malta's tiny capitol, La Valletta, is a World Heritage site and nothing short of an open air museum. It is a living experience of Baroque architecture. The city is dotted with quaint cafes and wine bars. Tour the city, relax on the beach, or swim with the dolphins. You'll quickly fall in love with this little known Mediterranean gem.

DAY 6- Wednesday Messina, Italy

Messina is a gateway to the best of Sicily. A short distance away is the gorgeous hilltop resort town of Taormina, as well as the majestic (and still active) volcano, Mt. Etna. Or see the charming village of Tindari, home of the "Black Madonna."

As always you can chose to sightsee, shop or just relax.

DAY 7- Thursday Civitavecchia (Rome)

The port of Civitavecchia is about an hour from Rome. We have 11 hours in port giving you plenty of time to explore the Eternal City. {Need help pronouncing the port? We did too! Cheevee- ta-VE-kia.)

DAY 8- Friday Marseille, France

Cézanne, Braque, Derain, Dufy and Marquet have all lived in France's "second city" and been inspired by its beauties. Explore Marseille itself or visit the seaside gem, Cassis, a quieter version of St. Tropez. Also close by is Avignon, so lovely that Pope Clement V spent his entire papacy there.

DAY 9- Saturday Genoa

This morning it's farewell to our new cruising friends, our Yacht Club staff, and yes, sadly our butler!

To soften the blow, we'll whisk you from the pier to downtown Genoa for a relaxing evening at the NH Marina Hotel.

After check-in take a walk to the Genoa Aquarium, the 2nd largest in Europe. The quaint seaside village of Portofino is just a 1/2 hour away. Or head to "Piazza dei Ferrari," the historical center of Genoa.

This evening dinner is on your own.

DAY 10- Sunday Depart Genoa for USA

This morning we drive you to Genoa Airport for your flight home arriving in the USA the same day. A warm "grazie" for traveling with the Perillo Tours family and please return soon!

You must add estimated departure tax and a fuel surcharge of $450 per person to the above 'sample airfares' to estimate your full airfare. Your exact airfare will be advised within 2 business days of booking your tour.

Airfares DO include your roundtrip airport transfers in Italy at scheduled times, provided you arrive and depart on scheduled tour dates. If you wish to arrive earlier or extend you stay, airport transfers are not included.
